Fall Leaves

After returning from dance class, we found our neighbors out blowing leaves. In an effort to 'keep up with the Joneses', out we went to help with the copious leaves which had fallen. We live on a pipe stem off a cul-de-sac. There are 5 families on the pipe stem and we can all be seen outside most days. Saturdays are no exception. With the rain and wind we got this week, many leaves had finally fallen from our heavily treed lots. Until this week, we had all been able to manage most of the leaves in our yard. Today was a little different.

Between three houses, 3 leaf blowers, 2 rakes, a broom, 5 kids and 5 adults, we managed to round up a HUGE pile of leaves in the middle of our common driveway. The 3 little kids had lots of fun jumping in the leaves and the 5 adults all worked together to push the pile into the woods.

As we all looked up at the leaves still remaining on the trees when we were done, we realized the pile would probably end up just as big next Saturday.

All those leaves have to be great fun for everyone but those involved in removing them from the lawns! I'm sure the girls enjoy playing in the pile.
