Dancing Queen

Heather starts her Saturday mornings with her dance class. This is the start of her second season. Last year, Heather asked if she could take ballet lessons (probably so she could dance like June in 'Little Einsteins'). She stuck with it and the recital she was in last spring was adorable! The studio where she takes lessons is VERY child friendly and the instructor is wonderful. After the recital last year, Heather noticed that some kids were walking around in tap shoes. And, of course, those make cool sounds that ballet shoes just don't make. Needless to say, Heather asked to take tap lessons this year instead of ballet. The class she is in every Saturday from 9:00-10:00 is half tap and half ballet. Heather comes home with tap steps and loves to show them on the hardwood floors in the kitchen. Not my favorite thing; between the dog's claws and Heather's tap, the floors aren't getting any better. But, Heather loves the tap class and never argues about going. She has told us that some day she will be a ballerina.
