An Early Thanksgiving

Heather and I were very excited to wake up today. I told Heather I was going to volunteer in her classroom for their Thanksgiving Feast.

For Halloween, Heather's school had a quick parade where they walk around the school and then go about their day. Heather told me, "Mommy, I looked all around and all the Mom's were there. But, I didn't see Miss T." Miss T is the daycare provider who drops Heather off at school when Bill can't take her. Needless to say, I took off the morning to make sure that I not only volunteered for Thanksgiving with her class, but also planned an arts and crafts activity.

Heather showed me around her classroom. They painted turkey hand prints, she made a turkey hat (as seen to the right) and they had a 'Thanksgiving Feast' with snack mix and turkey sandwiches.

I read a turkey story to her class and then we colored and put together a turkey picture.

Heather had fun and I'm off the hook until Christams :)
