Some All American Girls

Nothin' like spending the 4th of July out in the sun and looking at cars! We had a very relaxing 4th. We played at home all afternoon with neighbors and then moved on to our friend, Lori and Barry's, for some dinner and fireworks with Auntie Jenn. Lori and Barry live in a townhouse development just a few miles from us and with all the people around, there are always fireworks going off. It's a great place to hang out :)

Kailey wasn't really old enough to remember sparklers from last year. So this year she enjoyed watching everyone play with sparklers, but wasn't too excited about holding them. She was very excited about sitting and playing with Daddy! Bill has been working quite a bit and I really think the girls missed playing with him. It was a nice evening to play. Heather enjoyed an ice cream cone provided by Lori and Barry's neighbors. She looked a lot like one of those milk ads. She licked all the ice cream right down to the cone without missing a drop.. except for the extra on her face!

Kailey also had fun watching Maisy and, for the most part, she liked the extra attention. They were both pretty cute.

Then it was time for the fireworks display. Heather and Kailey both liked Maisy and Dane's chairs. Dane was too busy running around to sit in his chair for very long and Maisy went back and forth between wanting to watch the fireworks and being tired and bothered by them. Heather was all to happy to take her princess chair. (Thanks Maisy and Dane!).

There was a moment when Heather let Dane share the princess chair. Not sure if that's what caused Dane's expression. Either way, they were both pretty happy about the situation. Not sure if I want to know anymore than that!
