A few highlights from today:
* My children both have double ear infections
* I had a snow day today
* Auntie Jenn has returned from Hawaii... welcome back to the cold northeast!
Heather was feeling better last night. However, she was also up at 3:00am telling me her bed was wet and her ear hurt. She was back up at 6:30 asking if it was morning and telling me her ear still hurt. By the time I got out of the shower, Heather had gone back to bed; very unusual for her. Scheduled a trip to the doctor's at 9:50 (since there was ice on the ground and we didn't have school - the only school in the area that was closed instead of delayed). While we were at the doctor's, I decided get Kailey's ears checked too. From previous experience, Kailey will go and go and go... until she drops. Figured it would be easier to get things looked at today instead of coming back tomorrow for the same thing, just different kid. Sure enough, 4 infected ears. Meds all around.
Meanwhile, back at the homefront:
Auntie Jenn arrived home this morning from her two years in Hawaii! Jenn will be moving back into her condo in Arlington on Monday, but has come to stay with us for Heather's birthday party. Ok, she didn't end her two year hiatus just for the birthday party, but we won't tell Heather that! Jenn is a great friend left over from my high school years. She is also Kailey's Godmother. We are VERY excited to have Jenn home. To celebrate, we all went out for pho soup.
Heather has been out of it all day and we're hoping she will be better tomorrow after her 3rd dose of meds. She's had a fever, but I'm sure that's just her body fighting off the ear infections. To be on the safe side, Bill has rearranged his schedule so he is home tomorrow. Heather has school tomorrow where she has cupcakes to bring in to celebrate her birthday, she has a princess birthday tea tomorrow afternoon and her birthday celebration on Saturday. Hopefully, she'll be well enough to attend all events.

I hope both girls are feeling better by today. Saturday should be fun for the Birthday Princess! Sorry I won't be there in person to help celebrate, but I'll be there in spirit!
