It's Baaaaaack!

Our other computer is back from the doctor. It runs much faster and is now just waiting for me to load applications and pictures. So, the return of the pictures starts tomorrow!

Heather woke up this morning and told me she didn't feel very well; her neck hurt. She then held her throat and told me it was sore. I asked her to clarify - did her neck hurt on the outside or was it her throat on the inside? She confirmed it was a sore throat. Not too surprising as both Heather and Kailey have been coughing nightly, have runny noses and it's cold and suppose to snow tonight. (Probably not enough for school to be affected... oh well). It's amazing to think about all the things we learn and all the words we use. Heather has quite a vocabulary, but needed help determing the subtlties of 'neck' and 'throat'. Either way, Heather did get her point across and also whined, just for good measure. She was slow getting dressed and asked for help with lots of things she can do on her own. By the time we left for daycare she was pretty much her normal self.

This evening, she continued to be whiny and only had cereal for dinner. At 6:30 she suggested we take a bath because she was tired and ready for bed. As she was in bed, I took her temperature and it was 101. Gave her some Motrin and I'll have to head back up there to check on her again. Poor little girl. I just hope she gets over it by Saturday for her birthday. But, this is the season for germs.

Bill and I were just talking the other day about our Christmas last year. Heather and Kailey were sick the whole holiday season. We were in the ER on Christmas Eve day with puking children. After 7 hours it was determined they had the flu. We spend Christmas Day opening presents slowly, taking naps and cleaning up (sorry, no nice way to put it) vomit!

Hopefully, Heather will feel better soon (and Kailey won't get it!).
