Heather woke up this morning with a temperature of about 101 and continues to cough. But, I had a meeting at school this morning I needed to attend. So, our daycare provider said she would take Heather for the hour I needed to be gone. We were all back home by 9:30.
Heather and Kailey spend the rest of the morning relaxing around the house (while I loaded everything I needed back onto my computer). Heather was very excited about the snow we were getting. Not a lot by any stretch of the imagination, but we are in Northern Virginia; rain causes all sorts of reactions here, so you can guess what snow does! Needless to say, both girls were excited to get outside and look at the snow up close, even with runny noses, a fever and cough.
Heather started telling me yesterday how she was excited for the snow because 'we can make snowballs and throw them at each other!'. So, she ran out to make a snowball or two. Kailey, on the other hand, probably doesn't remember snow from last year... much less that it's cold. She repeatly placed her hand in the snow and started making hand prints. She did seem to notice that it became colder the more hand prints she made, but I think she liked the cold. She did the sign language for cold too, so I think she gets it.
