I'm Joining the Circus!

When we dropped off Wendy this afternoon, Kailey found a box of balloons and directions in a bag Wendy had at her house. This was a kit on how to make balloon objects/animals/headbands, etc. Since the kit had a handle, Kailey figured this was something she needed to have. Anything in a convenient travel bag with a handle is something that appeals to my kids; it really doesn't make any difference what it contains, just so long as they can carry it!

Heather insisted that we open up Kailey's kit when we got home. Again, having a handle, Kailey wasn't too worried about what was in it, so Heather and I opened it and started to play. As you can see from the pictures below, it turns out I TOTALLY ROCK at making balloon animals!! Here is the standard dog every good balloon person can do:
I decided that really was pretty easy. So, I moved on to the next page. There is a very large error rate with these long balloons. Since the kit came with a little pump to help blow up the balloons, I didn't end up too light-headed, but the balloons are not as durable as they appear to be when those street guys bend, twist and twirl them all around. Here is my swan:
I know; very impressive. But, to make it even better; it's really a hat! Here is my small-headed able assistant, Kailey, modeling my handy work:
Then I turned the neighborhood kids into angels with their wings.
As you can see, the wings don't always make the angel.
And, they don't appear to be one-size-fits-all.
Moving on...
Here's a hissing snake:

I was then challenged to make a vulture. Not bad, huh?The neighbors helps blow up a few balloons and we then made an octopus. This was a mean one, but I think we were able to contain him.Our neighbor, Jeff, said he saw me doing birthday parties on the weekends! So, here's is my portfolio. If teaching ever falls through, looks like I have a fall back career.
