Christams Festivities

Nana and Papa arrived yesterday for the Christmas break. They played with the girls and brought in presents. Although it would would be appropriate and lovely to place them under the Christmas tree, Kailey would open all gifts and wrapping paper in about 3 minutes. So, I guess Christmas Eve will be spent piling up gifts under the tree. Until then, they are being kept out of small hands by spreading out across hiding places throughout the house. Hopefully, we'll find all of them!

Auntie Jenn came over today to drop off Christmas presents. Heather got a princess stamp set and Kailey got many parts of Mr. Potato Head and a book. Both girls have had a great time playing with everything.

This afternoon, we were invited to our neighbor's house to decorate gingerbread houses. Marybeth did a great job making houses for everyone and found awesome candy to adorn the houses with. Heather and her friend, Mattisen, had smaller, graham cracker houses and their own bag of frosting. Considering Heather hasn't made houses before, she did a pretty good job!

Kailey sat on my lap and helped me make mine. She got the hang of it and started showing Heather where to put the frosting down so Kailey could stick a piece of candy. Only problem is, Kailey tried the candy before adding it to the house. So, our house is either made with things Kailey didn't like or things that she felt she had to try and approve before adding them to the house!
