The week is getting away from me! So, let's start this vacation talk:One of Kailey's most talked about event of the vacation occurred during the first day we were in Florida. Bill noticed in the newspaper that there was a remote control model airplane show on Sunday. Figuring it would be nice to be outside after coming from the colder weather, we trekked out to a small "airfield" about 20 minutes from my parents house. There were model airplanes from all over the East Coast as well as Canada! The biggest was a B-29 model (revision from earlier.. I think this is right) that was 98 pounds and was a 1/7th relica of the one that bombed Japan. It was amazing but that thing actually got off the ground!
There were double engine jets, single engine prop planes and bi-planes. They took off from the little air strip and did tricks in the air and flew loops around the park. Heather was probably overtired from the long trip the day before (not sure why; it's not like she drove it!), but she didn't much care for the airplanes and didn't like the noise they made (which wasn't all that much). Kailey, on the other hand, LOVED watching them fly in the air and watching them land. She pointed to them in the sky and watched them taxi back to the fence.

She continued to tell the story with her hands and sound effects for the whole week, retelling her adventure at the air strip watching the model airplanes.
"Woosh...[hands moving up in the air] ..... and.... DOWN! [hands down onto the ground]."
Big smile :)
