After Heather's dance class and Kailey's gymnastics class, we finally decided Kailey needed to get her hair cut. She is 22 months old and she hasn't even had her hair trimmed yet. Quite frequently, her hair is a mess and looks pretty ratty. But, before I got her hair cut, I wanted to get formal pictures with her long pigtails. I got around to the formal pictures last week, so we figured it was time for the first cut!Knowing Kailey won't sit still for
very long, I had been really dreading a haircut. Heather can sit still and had a hard time with her first 3 or 4 haircuts! She needed to sit in our lap while the lady followed her head from side to side with scissors.
However, simply to prove that she isn't her sister, Kailey was perfect and sat still for almost 20 minutes while the woman cut her hair. As soon as the apron was put around her, Kailey seemed to know this was all business. She let the barber pull her hair back, let her spray her hair with the water bottle and watched while it was cut.
Heather was a perfect role model and sat in the chair right next to her sister and got her hair cut too. She would look over at Kailey every now and then to make sure she was doing ok.
Overall, both girls did very well and now look very stylish! Regardless of what Kailey's expression seems to say, she was happy with her new haircut and told us in her own way that she got her haircut like a big girl.
